#BALANCEFORBETTER

The future is exciting. Let’s build a gender-balanced world.

Everyone has a part to play – all the time, everywhere.

From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects balance. We notice its absence and celebrate its presence.

Balance drives a better working world. Let’s all help create a #BalanceforBetter.

Year long activity and collaboration

The 2019 #BalanceforBetter campaign runs all year long. It doesn’t end on International Women’s Day.

The campaign theme provides a unified direction to guide and galvanize continuous collective action, with #BalanceforBetter activity reinforced and amplified all year.

It’s time for our annual LCCSU BIG DEBATE, covering social issues that affect students like you.

This year, we’ll be covering all things gender-related including discrimination in career choices. Have your say when we ask the audience, and quiz our panellists on their responses!

Taking place on Friday 26 April at St George’s Church from 9am to 10.30am, our expert panel includes award-winning author and TEDx speaker Jenny Garrett and National Education Union activist Sally Kincaid.

With *64% of women experiencing sexual harassment in public and the Metropolitan Police’s Stay Safe guide verging on victim blaming, it’s never been more important to fight for equal rights.
