Current and incoming LCCSU Executive Officers made their way to Glasgow during the Easter break to represent Leeds City College students at the NUS (National Union of Students) Conference. The conference which runs over three days is a full on experience with over 750 students debating on a range of topics.
Students engaged in debates and voted on major reform within NUS as well as motions that will set out what they will prioritise over the coming year. New national officers were elected including a new Vice President for Further Education which brings an end to our former President Emily Chapman’s time in office.
The students represented themselves and the college extremely well spending with the new officers gaining valuable experience that will help them in the year ahead.
