Transnational have had a productive end to the year delivering overseas experiences for our students and staff. As part of our Erasmus+ funded educational work programme, Planes, Trains & Mobilities to VET Opportunities across Europe, we organised and supported 164 students with 42 accompanying staff to 19 partner organisations across 14 countries.
Alongside supporting students, 17 staff have visited partners on Staff Trainer placements to meet partner organisations and investigate departmental objectives or operational needs. This is a great CPD opportunity and builds relationships across institutions and the EU community, for future collaboration, understanding and sharing of good practice.
Two or three-week work placements for students provide the opportunity to enhance technical work skills, employability skills and supply a flavour of independent living. It is a truly unique experience and opportunity to face challenges in new environments, with support from peers, staff and partner organisations.
Without collaboration with trusted partners across Europe, our programme would not be possible. It is particularly important at this time, that we use these opportunities funded through Erasmus+ to learn and understand the culture of our European neighbours.
